OpenAI has launched ChatGPT for Financial Services, a specialized ChatGPT Work experience aimed initially at investment banking and equity research teams. The product combines GPT-6 Astra with built-in financial datasets and tools for research, financial modeling, and client materials.
OpenAI says the offering includes data from providers such as Daloopa, PitchBook, and LSEG News, with citations designed to help analysts trace figures and claims back to supporting material. The company says the product was shaped through design partnerships with Morgan Stanley and Evercore.
The system can also use firm templates for outputs such as valuation models, research notes, presentations, and other client-ready work. Enterprise controls include SSO, provisioning, role-based access, retention settings, and compliance logging.
ChatGPT for Financial Services is currently available to eligible financial institutions.
