Google DeepMind has introduced Gemini 3.8 Flash, describing it as its most intelligent Flash model yet for coding, reasoning, and agentic knowledge work. The model is positioned as a fast, lower-cost option for developers building long-horizon software and autonomous workflows.
Google also introduced Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber, a variant focused on cybersecurity use cases. The broader Gemini 3.8 release continues Google’s push to combine advanced reasoning with the speed and pricing profile of its Flash model family.
Gemini 3.8 Flash supports multimodal inputs including text, images, video, audio, and PDFs, with a context window of more than one million input tokens. Google lists capabilities such as function calling, search grounding, code execution, file search, structured outputs, and preview computer use.
The model is available through Google’s developer ecosystem, including the Gemini API and AI Studio.
